CERTIFIED STAFF FIRE TRAINING COURSES
Under current legislation laid out in the Fire Services Act 1981 and Safety in Industry Acts 1955 and 1980, all persons employed to work in a premises should be given genuine and adequate instruction and training in the procedure to adopt in the event of a fire. All employees should receive suitable staff fire training from a qualified and competent person or company, this enables a candidate to recognise and eliminate fire hazards, understand safe evacuation from buildings and if necessary prevent a fire from spreading. At Capital Fire Ltd, we provide our clients with a choice of two comprehensive staff fire training
courses, both include a live physical demonstration, for hands on experience and certified exam. Both courses must be conducted at the clients premises in order for our fire safety trainers to undertake a full premises assessment specific to our clients place of work and to evaluate and inform our clients of the fire risks that may be present. All our fire safety trainers are certified and are members of the FAS register of trainers. For insurance purposes and recommendations from FAS we are only in a position to offer our training courses for up to a maximum of fourteen people per training session. At Capital Fire Ltd we carry public liability insurance for staff fire training, a copy of which can be provided upon request. We shall provide all materials for the training sessions including hand outs, fire extinguishers for demonstration, gas controlled fire apparatus for simulation of different fires, over head projector, laptop presentation or video presentation and examination papers.
